Our commitment

Oceanic Enterprises is committed to ensuring that oceanicenterprises.com is accessible to people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as part of how the site is built rather than something added afterwards.

Conformance target

This website is designed and built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard courts and regulators in the United States generally apply to public-facing business websites under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

What we have done

Specific measures built into this site include:

  • Every image that carries meaning has a text description. Photographs that are purely decorative are marked as such so screen readers skip them rather than announcing noise.
  • All colour combinations are measured, not estimated. Body text meets or exceeds a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background, and most of the site exceeds the stricter AAA threshold of 7:1.
  • The site is fully operable by keyboard. Every link, button and form field can be reached and used without a mouse, and the focus indicator is a visible 3-pixel ring that never relies on colour alone.
  • A “Skip to main content” link is the first item in the tab order, so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the navigation on every page.
  • Correct landmarks and heading structure. Each page has one h1, a single main region, and headings that descend in order.
  • Animation respects your system settings. If you have asked your operating system to reduce motion, the moving elements on this site stop.
  • Touch targets are at least 48 by 48 pixels at every screen size.
  • No CAPTCHA puzzles. Our forms are protected by an invisible challenge rather than image or audio puzzles, which are themselves a barrier.
  • Text can be resized to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you where we fall short than claim perfection:

  • A small number of older property photographs are only available at low resolution and may appear soft on high-density displays. We are replacing them as new photography becomes available.
  • Documents linked from this site that were produced by third parties — for example a hotel brochure or a booking confirmation from a reservation partner — may not meet the same standard. Contact us and we will provide the information in an accessible format.
  • Booking and reservation systems operated by our partners sit on their own websites and are outside our direct control. We raise accessibility issues with those partners when we find them.

If you encounter a barrier on this website, we want to hear about it. Please tell us what page you were on and what went wrong, and we will respond within five business days.
